Upcoming Indian Army Recruitment For Permanent Commission
- Technical Graduate Course (TGC) – 120
Technical graduate course is for engineering completed students and for the students who studying in the final year of engineering degree.
Date of notification (tentative) – April/May 2014
- 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES) – 32
10+2 TES course is for the students who completed their 12th class with 70% in physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Date of notification (tentative) – May 2014
- Indian Military Academy (IMA) Direct Entry (DE) – 139
IMA (DE) is a non technical entry for men. All the candidates who completed their graduation can apply for this course. The exam is notified by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

- National Defence Academy (NDA) – 134
This course is for the students who completed their 12th class or its equivalent. This recruitment is also notified by UPSC.
Notification date (tentative) – May/June 2014
- University Entry Scheme (UES) – 25
This recruitment process is only for the pre-final year engineering graduate students.

Indian Army Recruitment (Upcoming) For Short Service Commission (SSC)
- SSC (NT) – 102 And SSCW (NT) – 16
Short Service Commission (Non Tech) – 102 course is for the graduated male candidates. UPSC notifies this recruitment with the support from CDSE.
Tentative notification date – May or June 2014.
SSC (Non Tech) – 16 course is for the female candidates who completed their graduation. This recruitment is notified and conducted by UPSC.

- SSC (Tech) – 44 And SSCW (Tech) – 15
Male candidates are only eligible for Short Service Commission (t) – 44 course and this course is for the engineering graduate students.

SSCW (T) – 15 course is for the female candidates who are graduated in the engineering degree.

- National Cadet Corps (NCC) Men And Women – 37
Tentative date of recruitment notification – June 2014.
This is a special entry for men and women under Short Service Commission. The exact eligibility criteria required for both men and women to apply for this course is given in the images below.
What Is The Difference Between Permanent Commission And Short Service Commission ?
Permanent commission offered you a long term carrier. when joined through the permanent commission you can serve the Indian army till you retire from your service. If you want to join in permanent commission you either need to join National Defence Academy or Indian Military Academy. CDSE (Combined Defence Service Exam), 10+2 (T) entry, UES (University Entry Scheme) and TGC are the courses commencing under the Indian Military Academy.
Short Service Commission in Indian army is for a period of 10 years. You can extend this period of service to 4 more years, i.e 14 years. when you selected for SSC, you need to join OTA (Officers training academy) Chennai for the training. Female candidates also get chances to join SSC as an officer in Indian army.
